Michael Johnson is the US CTO of SEOPS, LLC and is responsible for designing creative solutions for spacecraft. With more than 40 years of experience as a senior executive and engineer in the medical and space industries, Michael began his career in 1986 pioneering heart stent development and moved into the NASA Space Shuttle program in the late 1980s and quickly went to work for the world’s first human commercial space project - Spacehab. Michael spent over 20 years in various capacities with Spacehab (with a two-year detour to found MedCam, a MEMS medical project). After closing his career at Spacehab as their VP of Advanced Programs in 2009, he then went on to continue his serial entrepreneur career co-founding Nanoracks (now Voyager Space), a leading provider of access to space for customers around the world and the first to operate a commercial laboratory in Low Earth orbit. Here he designed, built and flew over 1000 experiments and his equipment deployed over 500 satellites from the International Space Station. In 2018 he co-founded SEOPS to further manifest and fly commercial and government satellites on various launch vehicles including the SpaceX Falcon 9. In addition, Mr. Johnson holds 17 issued US Patents and has five others pending. Mr. Johnson received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics from the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology in 1989
